Founder

Kleio G. Apostolaki

“I was born and raised in a suburb of Piraeus in a detached house full of  plants and animals. This has always been my precious microworld where I explored the circle of life and realized the concept of co-existence with the natural network of life, with respect and empathy. It was the canvas of the development of my creativity and imagination and the field of expression of my emotions. When I decided to study Psychology, I looked for this reference of Nature in the development of the human personality as I believed that it was not only me that had this experience with the wider web. I found myself unsatisfied with the limited references made by classical psychology and in my further search, a friend pointed me an article and said… “this is for you”…. I was delighted to find that in the same year, in 2005, there was an Ecopsychology Gathering in Valley d’Aosta, in Italy, and I decided to meet other colleagues with similar quests,  in person. My participation there resulted in starting a lifelong relationship with Ecopsychology.
